Mission Statement

My goal is to create an online space for educational purposes viewing American history through the prism of third party vice-presidential running mates. Is this a quirky endeavor? You bet it is!

Third parties represent groups of Americans who feel they are not having their issues addressed by the two-party system. Their presence on the ballot and place in the election results helps give us a quadrennial snapshot of our country throughout our national history.

Civil discussion is encouraged. I welcome any factual corrections or additions to these brief biographical summaries.

And who am I? A retired librarian in Washington State who needs to keep his aging mind active in order to keep off the streets and we all know how bad wandering marauding librarians can be.
