Jack Burton Robinson Jr.

Jack Burton Robinson Jr., April 15, 1957 (Winston-Salem, N.C.) -

VP candidate for Non Affiliated (aka Libertarian Party) (2016)

Running mate with nominee: Shawna Joy Sterling (b. ca1973)
Popular vote: 1 (0.00%)
Electoral vote: 0/538

The campaign:

Shawna Sterling of Brooksville, Ky. filed with the FEC as a Republican on June 6, 2015. On June 16 the name of the campaign committee was changed from "Shawna Sterling 2016" to "Shawna Sterling 2016 Pro Life Pro America It's Time to Take Care of America." On June 23 the candidate had a name change, "Pastor Shawna Sterling," and a political designation alteration from Republican to Independent, and a committee name change to "Pastor Shawna Sterling 2016 Pro Life Pro America It's Time to Take Care of America." Things settled down for a few months then on Jan. 1, 2016 the political allegiance changed to Libertarian and the committee was simply "Pro Life Pro America." The FEC didn't like the committee name so it was changed to "Pro America Sterling 4 President" on Feb. 9. Finally, on July 6, 2016 Sterling switched back to Independent and listed Jack Robinson of Spartanburg, S.C. as a running-mate. Whew!

Meanwhile, Jack B. Robinson had filed with the FEC for President as an Independent on Aug. 28, 2015. On Nov. 12, 2015 he switched his party identification to Libertarian.

Sterling was no stranger to running for office. In 2014 she was defeated by Mitch McConnell in the Republican primary for the US Senate. Her campaign website at that time promoted the concept of secret numerological messages she had decoded from a few movie trailers that predicted dire events such as 9/11 or Sandy Hook. She also included a video by discredited conspiracy-for-profit merchant Alex Jones. Interestingly, in 2012 she had briefly switched to the Democratic Party and worked for Obama's re-election.

When Sterling was running for the Libertarian nomination her platform had a few deviations from the standard Party line--

Before running as a Libertarian, Jack Robinson Jr. had thrown his hat into the ring as an Independent for President--

Spartanburg, South Carolina Businessman, Jack Robinson, Jr. Announces His Candidacy for PRESIDENT as a Third Party Independent Candidate

Spartanburg, SC -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/06/2015 -- On September 29, 2015, Spartanburg, South Carolina Businessman, Jack Robinson, Jr. announced that he will be running for 2016 Presidential candidate, will be entering the field on the third party as an independent candidate. With the declaration of his presidential bid, he also unveiled his program that will seek to end the troubles of the country through a "Unification of America" plan. Robinson made the announcement at the CHAPMAN CULTURAL ARTS CENTER, in front of a live audience on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2015. In his speech he elaborated how a Robinson Presidency will be characterized by ending poverty, providing universal healthcare, equalizing income and opportunity disparity and ending world hunger.

Robinson began his speech by highlight some of the most pressing problems America is facing today, he said: "We have become a divided country and we must change the course of our nation. Our debt is a 100% of our gross domestic product congressional budget office says that we have 10 years to turn our economy around before our debt is irreversible. Our two basic political philosophies have us either taking from one group and giving to another or pulling our own boot straps, the moderate simply says a little of both. None of these represent the American way."

Robinson's Unification of America plan will counter these problems which he believes is the best ideas of all of our political parties are proposing, the plan will be largely economic and will successfully harness all of America's ideals, resources, institutions, political parties, wealth classes, races, businesses and individuals to ensure a unified nation working harmoniously towards the collective interest of the country and its people.

The 2016 US Presidential Elections will be the 58th quadrennial U.S. presidential election when the country makes a historic decision that will serve a pivotal point in the history and the future of United States of America and the entire world. Most people are seeing the upcoming elections as an opportunity for the nation's population to elect a much needed strong and capable leadership that can guide US through the challenges it currently faces and steer the nation towards a more promising future.

The proposed "Trickle Up" economics solution, a part of Robinson's plan will cost shift many aspects of government dependence and societal improvements away from government and over to the private sector and the forces of free enterprise. He believes that being a third party candidate will provide him various strategic benefits such as providing a better position to act as moderator and to break the current impasse between political parties.

About Jack B. Robinson
Robinson is a business owner, a family man, served on his college's student government, and has patents and trademarks on different products. He is innovative, caring, strong, and will lead America well with grace and direction.

Robinson is also the creator of an economic model called "Birth Loop Economics" which is summarized--

Birth Loop Economics

How It Works

For each generation of new births (roughly 4 million people/year), a newborn fund is set up with corresponding social accounts for each child in that generation. Banks will capitalize themselves from this fund on the conditions that:
1. Banks must pay the annual interest into each child's various social accounts;
2. At maturity, the banks will repay the principal back to the government

The end result being two-fold:
1. Government is paid back in full and can recycle the original seed money;
2. Each child in that generation is left with a lump sum to be used for its designated purpose, such as providing them education, healthcare, retirement savings, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1) What is Birthloop Economics
A1) Capitalism’s small government low tax model for funding America’s entitlement programs.

Q2) How does Birthloop work?
A2) Generational funding (at birth) of our children’s social accounts; funded by the interest earned from loans to America’s federally insured banks and credit unions.

Q3) Is Birthloop affordable?
A3) Birthloop is exceedingly affordable because it generates no debt. Double entry accounting explains it as…“for each debt (expenditure) there is a credit (loan)”.  Once these loans to our banks are repaid and the interest harvested for our children’s social accounts, the money will be reinvested and reused for our next generation of children.

Q4) Is Birthloop inflationary?
A4) Birthloop is not inflationary. The annual outlay has a 3 to 1 cost savings over our current entitlement and then repaid for no cost. Once repaid it is then reused for the next generation of births.

Q5) Where does the money come from?
A5) Generational dissolution of our current entitlement programs at a 3 to 1 savings ratio.
A5) Federal credit upgrades
A5) Standard budget increase
A5) Print or borrow – both are cheap

Robinson ran in the Libertarian primary in California and engaged in a brief interview with The Hollywood Reporter--

Describe yourself briefly.
I'm a businessman and the originator of "birth-loop economics" (using bank interest to fund accounts for all newborns).

What is the first thing you’d do as president?
Oh, lord. I’d ask every congressman and senator for the best idea they had or have heard since they were first elected.

What is your campaign song?
"Make America As Great As It Was Meant to Be." (That’s a made-up song I know.)

What would you tell Donald Trump in an elevator?
"You need an economic plan."

Who is your favorite president and why?
Ronald Reagan. He did his part to make America smaller.

Oddly, the California primary was held after the Libertarian Party convention, so Robinson's 8th out of 12 finish with 0.03% was merely a popularity contest.

Both Sterling and Robinson failed to gain much traction in their quest for the Libertarian nomination. At some point they joined forces and continued the campaign to the general election on their own ticket. Sterling had been one of the speakers with Robinson at a Birth Loop conference in May 2016.

Sterling/Robinson were registered as write-ins in 5 states (listing themselves as Libertarians in most of them) and received a single reported vote in Kansas.

Robinson ran for President again as an Independent in 2020.

Election history:
2016 - Libertarian Party nomination for US President - defeated
2020 - US President (Independent) - defeated

Other occupations: President of Precision Bearing and Machine Inc., President of Volunteer Box Limited Liability Company, President of  Foundation for Economic Unity, Board Member of University of South Carolina Upstate Advisory Board

Notes:
Fun trivia-- Robinson was born on Tax Day.
