The campaign:
The 2016 Presidential ticket of Lelei La Lalena and Rory Mercury was yet another anime entry into the 2016 Presidential election. They were characters initially created in an online novel by Takumi Yamai entitled Gate in 2006 and it quickly grew into a multimedia franchise.
Lelei La Lelena is a 15 year-old girl from another plane of existence who possesses magical powers. Rory Mercury looks like a 13 year-old girl but in fact is a 961 year-old demigoddess.
Needless to say, the number of legal roadblocks faced by this duo in actually assuming office in the event of their Electoral victory would be too many count.
