Atlanta-based David C. Byrne, a perennial write-in candidate for President and Governor of Georgia since 2000, declared he was in the race for a third attempt for the White House in Aug. 2008. He named Mike Clary as his running-mate, of which nothing is known as the electioneering seemed to be in stealth mode.
Byrne was a registered write-in in Georgia, where he received four votes.
