The campaign:
On July 14, 2016 Ryan "Gootecks" Gutierrez and Mike Ross, the hosts of the Internet-based Cross Counter TV/Excellent Adventures, announced their run as a ticket for the Presidency but made no effort to disguise the fact this campaign was actually an ad promoting t-shirt sales. Their political promises were strictly related to the video fighting game community, Ross delivering his spiel in imitation JFK style.
From what I can ascertain, the Gootecks/Ross 2016 electioneering did not really extend beyond one video on Youtube and the t-shirt sales. If they had emerged victorious on Election Day some potential legal problems would have awaited them. In addition to both being residents of California, there is a strong possibility one or both of the candidates were under the Constitutionally mandated age of 35.
