Paul Dudley Bowling III

Above: Luesing in the foreground and I'm going to make an uneducated guess that is Bowling in the background. Below: Presidential candidate Luesing.

Paul Dudley Bowling III, June 7, 1979 (Jefferson County, Ky.) -

VP candidate for Independent (2016)

Running mate with nominee: Richard Turner Luesing Jr. (b. 1978)
Popular vote: 6 (0.00%)
Electoral vote: 0/538

The campaign:

Turner Luesing of Louisville, Ky., known for hosting live team trivia contests in local pubs, registered as a write-in candidate for President in his home state less than two weeks before the election. Apparently a musician with a group, one of his bandmates, Paul Bowling, was his running-mate.

Luesing's brief campaign can be traced on his Facebook page--

I'm currently in the process of paperwork to register as a write-in candidate in Kentucky (with running-mate Paul Bowling); would anyone who lives here like to be listed as a pledged elector?
Full disclosure: on the incredibly, ridiculously, stupidly remote chance that I did somehow end up with a majority of the popular vote in Kentucky, you would be required to go to the Capitol for one day to officially cast your electoral vote (though you would apparently qualify for the same per diem as a State Representative).

We're not trying to sway you if you feel strongly about a particular candidate.
However, if you were already planning on throwing your vote away, or even not voting, consider me and Paul.
Basically, vote your conscience; if you don't have one, vote for us.
LUESING/BOWLING 2016
MAKE AMERICA... EH.

The Luesing/Bowling ticket earned half a dozen write-in votes from their home state. The fact they were residents of the same commonwealth might have been a problem per the Constitution in the event of their victory.

Luesing's post election comment Jan. 18, 2017 was also made on Facebook--

One bright spot this election cycle is that the Luesing/Bowling ticket received 6 votes in Jefferson County, which means we technically ran 10th even though we did no actual campaigning and spent no money (Fun Fact: de la Fuente only beat us by 150 votes).
We're currently forming an exploratory committee to look into the possibility of another run in 2020.

Election history: none

Other occupations: musician

Notes:
I think this ticket shared my love of puns and trivia from the looks of things. My Dad was born in Kentucky so maybe it is a regional trait handed down through environment.
