Although I could not locate any direct electioneering material, Reid's social networking suggested a politically conservative leaning.
The Reid/Reid ticket were registered as write-ins in at least 7 states and no doubt garnered more votes than the 53 reported by Maryland. Many states simply lump all write-in results into one generic category. The fact both of the Reids were residents of the same state would have posed a potential problem in the event of their victory.
