Jason Scott Owens and Matthew M. Cambron were certified write-in candidates in Kentucky. They were either totally ignored by the press or ran a stealth campaign. Circumstantial evidence suggests Owens and Cambron were in their late teens or early twenties in 1996.

Owens was listed as being from Lexington or Hawesville. Cambron's residence was given as Owensboro.

On Election Day the Owens/Cambron ticket finished with 8 popular vote. In the event they had won the election there would have been a Constitutional problem since they were residents of the same state.
