The campaign (2012):
James Criveau of Norfolk, Va. was making his second run for the Presidency in 2012. After running in 2008 with Tom Guthrie, he filed with the FEC just days after losing that election, making him one of the very first candidates running for 2012. As he did in 2008, he filed without a party designation.
Criveau used MySpace and Youtube to spread his message. If he used Twitter, any posts from the 2012 era have since been erased. He announced the selection of Deatra Loomer of Mississippi as his running-mate in a June 23, 2010 Youtube video. The text introducing the video follows (Criveau admits he is not the best speller)--
TODAY, I HAVE VERY GOOD NEWS FOR ALL MY SUPPORTERS, I NOW HAVE A VICE PRESIDENT, CANDIDATE WHO WILL RUN ALONG SIDE ME AND YOU ALL. DEATRA FEELS VERY STRONGLY ABOUT OUR CONSTITUTION AND OUR GOVERNMENT BEING REDUCED IN SIZE PLUS REDOING OUR TAX SYSTEM SO THAT IT IS BASED ON OUR ECONOMY VISE THE WORKER. THUS REMOVING THE INCOME TAX AND REPLACING IT WITH A SALES TAX. WE STRONGLY AGREE WITH THE LIMITATION OF THE WELFARE SYSTEM, AND BELIEVE THAT OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM MUST AND SHALL BE FOREMOST THUS INSURING OUR FUTURE. Loomer was a host for a conspiracy-oriented website called Freedom Reigns and provided this autobiography on that venue--
I was born in the Bay area of California. Because I had more than the normal trials in childhood, I learned personal responsibility at an early age. After studying political science at Vanderbilt University, I’ve worked my entire life, and moved from place to place around having three children and getting involved in way too much activism. It has been a large part of my life simply because nobody else would do what needed to be done. I have helped to create community gardens. I have gotten involved with locating and recovering missing children – both internationally and nationally. I’ve worked with governors and congressmen. I’ve taught parents how to fight CPS – some of the worst criminals on the planet. I’ve found the key to getting anything done is to do it – whether you know what you’re doing or not. You can learn.
I had planned to run for the senate in my state when an independent presidential candidate asked me to be his running mate as vice president. An interview in that capacity led to my invitation to have my own show on Freedomizer and the show has taken on a life of its own.
I have been and always will be an active supporter of our good men and women in the military, and I intend to continue in that capacity. I presently live on a farm in Northern Mississippi. I’m raising two little granddaughters, my son is active military, and I became very active in the freedom movement after the CPS kidnapped my two granddaughters in my driveway. I’m home schooling them, taking care of the farm, and I even have a billy goat who sleeps on my front porch. I know that the only way we can get our freedom back is to take it from those who took it from us. We’re only taking what was stolen. I know this has to be done through education and activism on the local level, so I’m heading up our Freedom Reigns County Project in two counties.

He also indicated he was anti-abortion -- replace income tax with national sales tax -- pro capital punishment -- did not see climate change as an important issue -- anti Obamacare.
In April 2012 Loomer was arrested and charged with felonious false pretense and released on $2,500 bond that appears to have been somehow connected to the Freedom Reigns website.
The Criveau/Loomer ticket did not appear on any ballots or received any reported write-in votes although he was registered as such in Idaho, Maryland, Utah and Washington, possibly others.

Loomer was once again the running-mate but her surname had changed to Gilbert. References to her as the VP seemed to have ended in late July, 2014.
Once again, the ticket did not appear on any ballots nor received any reported write-in votes.
Criveau also ran for President in 2020 and has expressed interest in 2024.

Notes:
Loomer grew up in Vallejo, Calif. known as DeeDee Landwehr and was an activist for victims of Lamellar Ichthyosis, a rare genetic skin disorder from which she herself suffered. Pinning her down is difficult. I have identified at least 10 different surnames she has used and she has been on the move constantly, living all over the country including [Washington State Trivia alert!!!] in a county neighboring my own. She was known as Deatra Loomer from 2005 to, it appears, late 2012/early 2013.
