The campaign:
Robert "Star" Locke of Texas, a perennial candidate who has a history since the 1970s of running for Congress, Governor, and President as a Republican, Democrat (a "Sam Rayburn Democrat") or Libertarian filed with the FEC Sept. 15, 2012 as an Independent candidate for President, indicating he would be a write-in (although that official designation was up to each state, not the FEC). He also appointed former Oklahoma Rep. J.C. Watts as his running-mate, which I suspect was news to Watts if indeed he even knew about it.
Locke, who was a building contractor and US Army veteran, had a rather lengthy autobiography on his campaign website. His colorful past included part of his childhood in Occupied Japan, plus this adventure--
As the Cuban crisis heightened, Locke was offered a classified mission against Castro. Already recognized as a World Class Swimmer, he volunteered for the “operation". Locke was approached and recruited for the Mission by relative Senator John Tower of Texas, Chairman of the Senate Armed Forces Committee. Pvt Locke left Ft. Belvoir for Jump School at Benning in case the assault should be a night drop. Next on to a Florida beach training with the Navy team preparing for the mission.
The decision was made to make the assault by sea at night. Making a free assent from a submarine the team made their way to the beach undercover of darkness. As word of the covert operation leaked to the enemy, Castor's Forces were waiting at midnight as the 6 men hit the beach. Some agency or double-agent must have leaked it to Castro.
The operation was "dead on arrival" as the team walked into the trap. As flares lit up the sky, the team encountered small arms, heavy mortar and withering machine gun fire! Retreating back into the water with long underwater strokes, Locke swam into the open sea and 3 days later was picked up by a banana boat out of Haiti. Locke was the sole survivor ... Locke took the heat and the fall to cover up the Castro take-out attempts. The U.S. Government denied any knowledge of the operation thus refuting the common-knowledge claims that Castro and Kennedy were both trying to assassinate each other. We all know the end result to JFK of these attempts. Senator Tower and JFK were later both murdered. Pvt Locke received his Honorable Discharge, returned to civilian life life and moved to San Antonio to open a Construction Company building affordable housing and rebuilding in the East & West side ghettoes.
Also, he says he was in a fight in a Mexican cantina and accidentally spilled a meal all over John Wayne in the process.
Locke's platform included: pro-Israel -- increase the size of the military -- reduce taxes -- anti-abortion -- enforce high tariffs.
He saw the part of the lack US employment being traced to NAFTA, David Rockefeller, the Bilderberg Group, and the "New World Order."
Then there is this--
ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION.
ISLAM is obviously a cover word of a MILITARY ORGANIZATION dedicated to the enslavement of the entire world. Remember in 627 Muhammad turned on the Jews and beheaded all the men and enslaved all the women. Are Terror, murder and Beheadings designed and ordered by a prophet of a GOD? PURE HOG WASH!!
... This “NATION of ISLAM” must go back to where if came from. How do we do that?
A. First we declare ISLAM a "non-religion" in the USA .
B. Second we deport these "believers" to their sacred "Mecca" where they can practice their rituals and live under Arab Government and Islamic Law. We as a caring Christian country and will gladly pay for the $1500.00 air fare to Saudi Arabia where these pilgrims will obviously be received with open loving arms.
C. Europe also must be cleansed of this cancer "ISLAM". We have two choice people: [A] write off Europe to Islam rule [B] Assist our European & British friends in the deporting ISLAM and assist their " house-cleaning" of their cultures and country. Otherwise ladies when you go to Paris to do your "fashion shopping" the stores there will carry only one dress and one style which will never change from year to year.....you chose!
Locke's VP choice, J.C. Watts, had been a noteworthy voice of conservatism a decade earlier and had practically become a household name, but by 2012 he was already fading from the public spotlight having been out of office for almost a decade. He had retired having never been defeated in an election in his career.
Watts was the first African-American to win statewide office in Oklahoma and the first African-American Republican elected to the US House from south of the Mason–Dixon line since Reconstruction. It would be safe to say Watts was significantly Right of center.
In 2012 Watts endorsed Newt Gingrich in the Republican primaries. Four years later he was in the Rand Paul camp.
The Locke/Watts ticket were not registered as write-ins in any state and as a result zero votes were reported for the ticket.

Notes:
Was a Democrat until 1989, then became a Republican before his first run for office.
Sen. Tower officially met his death in a plane crash in 1991. Conspiracy theorists contend he was murdered as part of a very complicated widespread plot I won't even begin to describe.
