The campaign:

Dr. Jennifer J. "JJ" Vogel-Walcutt of Oveido, Fla., a cognitive science researcher and psychologist, waged an energetic write-in campaign for US President for the 2016 election. One news account explained she "planned a run in 2020 but seems spurred by Donald Trump's candidacy to run now." Her running-mate was her husband, Christopher "Chris" Walcutt.

Other married couples who ran as a ticket include Marvin Edward Perkins/Dorothy Louise Perkins - Independent (1980), Henry R. King/Sandra M. King - Independent (1984, 1988, 1992), David C. Byrne/Karen Byrne - Common Citizens of the United States of America (2000), Stanford Eugene Andress/Irene Altahelle Markley Deasy - Unaffiliated (2004), Debra Joyce Renderos/Oscar Renderos Castillo - Independent (2004), Oscar R. Renderos/Debra Joyce Renderos - Independent (2008), Debra Joyce Renderos/Oscar R. Renderos - Independent (2008), Christopher Michael Padgett/Linda Aileen Padgett - Independent (2012), Louis Todd House/Suzanne Marie Dudgeon House - Independent (2012), Zoltan Istvan Gyurko/Lisa Marie Memmel - Transhumanist Party (2016), and Khadijah Maryam Jacob-Fambro/Milton Lewis Fambro III - Loyal Trustworthy Compassion Party (2016).

Most of the social media regarding Vogel-Walcutt's 2016 campaign has been wiped, but her 2020 material reveals a centrist approach and emphasis on networking, as outlined in her introduction--

JJ Walcutt is a scientist, mom, thought-leader, and innovator who specializes in education, government, and military readiness. Walcutt holds a doctorate in psychology and has over 20 years of experience in research focused on training and education across the lifetime. Most recently she reported to the Pentagon, leading an education initiative for the Department of Defense, where she collaborated with more than 85 education stakeholders across all disciplines to craft an innovative blueprint—Modernizing Learning: Building the Future Ecosystem. She also served as a delegate to NATO and Partnership for Peace, and as a Human Innovation Fellow under the Office of Personnel Management where she wrote the redesign plans for government modernization. Walcutt is passionate about enabling leaders to transform the federal government and inspiring community members to be engaged in solutions.

Although the Vogel-Walcutt/Walcutt ticket were official write-ins in at least eight states, the only state to report any votes (two) was Maryland. Since the candidates were both residents of the same state, there would have been a Constitutional problem in the event of their victory.

After the election Vogel-Walcutt wrote a book entitled Who the F*** Wants to be President?! : My Year of Living Politically. She also ran in 2020 as a Democrat, with her campaign serving a dual purpose as a book tour.
