This blog is now up to covering the 2016 election, which I believe holds the record for number of candidates. Most of the VPs being profiled are still among the living and many of the hot button issues they represented remain valid. At the rate I'm going, 2016 might take me the rest of my life to cover!
My effort here is meant to be entry-level and educational. And fun. I realize this blog is quirky/peculiar/odd and I am certainly no political scientist or pundit. For true third party politicos there are other information sources more professional, serious, granular and expert, starting with the most excellent Ballot Access News edited by Richard Winger http://ballot-access.org/
Although I do try to be objective and fair I am sure my own bias shows itself now and then. If you are a regular reader you'll see I will add a "Full Disclosure" note occasionally to reveal how I voted. My agenda is simply my own curiosity. I am not affiliated with any political party, organized religion, cult, club, civic group, or organization of any sort. I am not a joiner by nature. This website is personal, not commercial. I am not a servant to any political cause.
It has come to my attention that several third party Vice-Presidential candidates already profiled in this effort have discovered their entry. If you are one of these people I would be interested in interviewing you so we can read more about your experience. My email is londy1887 at gmail.com
As you might have noticed, I take particular delight in Pacific Northwest (PNW) trivia, especially in profiles involving Washington State.
This blog is now almost 2 1/2 years old. It has been very educational for me to compile this data and hopefully you readers enjoy it as well. We have seen third parties in the past present the frontiers of political philosophy that were later co-opted by the major parties. It makes us wonder who are the third party visionaries of today who will have their ideas mainstreamed in the future.
