Jonathan Lee of Austin, Tex. ran for President in 2016 as a write-in candidate. His running-mate was Jeffrey Erskine.
On Sept. 25, 2016 Ken Herman of the Austin American-Statesman reported his attempts to reach Lee: "I couldn't find a campaign website for him and he didn't respond to my emails nor list a phone number on his filing form. I knocked on his door and left a message but hadn't heard from him when I had to wrap up this column."
Circumstantial evidence suggests Lee was Jonathan C. Lee with a large and diverse network of friends and family but I cannot confirm that.
In spite of the under the radar electioneering, the Lee/Erskine ticket were registered write-ins in two states and received 67 votes in Texas and 7 in Illinois.
