Jonathan She-Kool

Jonathan She-Kool, November 6, 2016 (Santa Cruz, Calif.) -

VP candidate for Independent (2016)

Running mate with nominee: Michael Spice
Popular vote: 0 (0.00%)
Electoral vote: 0/538

The campaign:

48 hours before Election Day 2016 a Youtube video by an amateur comedy group called Embrybros was posted touting the campaign of Michael Spice and his running-mate Jonathan She-Kool. Spice came across as sort of a fast-talking Charlie Tuna type, while She-Kool was a hillbilly stereotype complete with picking strains of "Dueling Banjos" from Deliverance on his banjo. The absurdist joke was that smoking cigarettes is actually good for you and seemed to be the answer to any social problem.

She-Kool was played by Sean Patrick Stiles (b. 1996) of Santa Cruz, Calif. who appeared to be the leader of Embrybros. He also provided vocals and played bass for a rock group called Strange Season.

Needless to say the shared state residence of the ticket, their youth, and fictitious status (at least for She-Kool) would have provided some major Constitutional problems in the event of their victory.

Election history: none

Other occupations: fictitious character

Notes:
On Apr. 15, 2017 Stiles received a serious head wound during a "Patriot Day" rally in Berkeley. He traveled from his home in Santa Cruz to attend and was photographed posing alongside white supremacist activists and helping them attack anti-fascist demonstrators with a dumpster. The media described him as "pro-Trump." However, at the time Stiles was hit over the head with a large bike lock, film footage showed him merely conversing. A college instructor named Eric Clanton (b. 1988) was later arrested for the attack.
