The campaign:
"We are no more of a joke than the other clowns running," was the slogan of the Presidential ticket of Andrew Coniglio and John Walsh. From their campaign Facebook page, it appears they were both chefs employed at the same place and had their candidacy papers notarized while on lunch break still in their uniforms. I suppose a habitual hammy joke person would make some crack about their ticket having too many cooks, but far be it from me to even begin to think of writing that.
The two Floridians maintained a campaign Facebook page that remains in operation to this day. Some samples from 2012--
Liberal/Conservitive, Republican/Democrat, it doesn't matter. They all lie and only worry about getting elected or re-elected. Republicans don't give a crap aboout you, Democrats don't give a crap either. They are one and the same and until people stop using such vague words like liberal and conservative and actually talk about what can be done to help this country and not who's to blame for F'in it up, WE are going nowhere as a country because you are just falling into their hands and are keeping this country a 2 party system that the only REAL differences between them are GAY MARRIAGE & ABORTION. If you believe FOX News, MSNBC or CNN you are drinking the Kool-Aid. Vote Coniglio/Walsh 2012. Seriously.
Without getting an invite to the debates last night I thought this would be a good time to talk about the topics and how I will help this great country get back on track and not talk in circles like those two jerks:
*Ban Nickleback from the United States of America!
*Make more money...pay more taxes
*Colonization of the Moon by 2020 and Mars by 2032
*Make pizza the official food of the United States
*Let anyone marry anyone they want as long as they are humans and not related
*Drill for oil and use a portion from the tax of gasoline to research renewable sources of energy and lessen our dependence on foreign oil
*Decriminalize marijuana and other small amounts of drugs, use the fine that people will have to pay and use that money for drug rehab centers
*Give sales tax break on products made in the U.S.A., this will help growth in the American Made products and create jobs for those companies located/relocated here
*Lower the drinking age to 18
*Stop the health care companies from over charging for everything, that is how you fix healthcare
*Banish Robbie Poore to Guantanamo Bay with the other terrorists
I had to look up what Nickleback was (Canadian Rock group) and never did figure out who Robbie Poore is supposed to be. But I admit I am pretty isolated up here in the coastal hills of Washington.
Registered write-ins only in the State of Florida, the Coniglio/Walsh ticket received the grand total of-- one vote. Coniglio mused about, but decided against, running in 2016. In the event the ticket had emerged victorious, the fact they were residents of the same state would have been a problem as far as the Constitution was concerned.
