Ronald K. Crider

Ronald K. Crider, May 4, 1966 -

VP candidate for Independent (2016)

Running mate with nominee: Delano Aimes Steinacker II (b. 1964)
Popular vote: 4 (0.00%)
Electoral vote: 0/538

The campaign:

Delano Aimes Steinacker II of Tucson, Ariz. filed with the FEC for President on May 26, 2016 with no party designation. His running-mate was Ronald K. Crider of Alto, Ga.

Steinacker's campaign website seems to have been obliterated, but on Twitter most of his political statements in 2016 presented himself as a sane alternative to Trump. In terms of leaving a historical trail, this was a bit of a stealth effort. On the day before the election, Steinacker was arrested in Placer County, Calif. on a charge of DUI. Apparently this was not his first brush with the law.

The Steinacker/Crider ticket were registered as write-ins in Arizona (with a reported 4 votes), Delaware, Montana, and Washington.

Another mystery VP.
