Johan Rust of Trinidad, Calif. ran as a write-in candidate for President in Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky, Utah and perhaps other states. His platform didn't seem to be covered by the press, but in Illinois he registered as write-in under the name "Johan K. Rust, alias God" which provides a small clue on his policies. Rust was registered with the FEC under the name Kornelis Albert Johannes Rust.
In Kentucky his running-mate was identified as Joe Hinton, a resident of Lexington. In that state the Rust/Hinton ticket finished with zero popular votes on Election Day. In Utah Rust received 25 votes, his highest number in any state.
