Titus Hunter Rhoades
VP candidate for Party of Moderate Progress Within the Bounds of the Law (2016)
Running mate with nominee: William Richard Griffith (b. 1945)
Popular vote: ? (0.00%)
Electoral vote: 0/538
The campaign:
The Party of Moderate Progress Within the Bounds of the Law was originally a satirical joke/conceptual art party in eastern Europe in the early 20th century. The name and concept was extended to the 2016 US Presidential campaign of Seattle-based William Richard Griffith.
The PMPWBL electioneering, which had an email address listed as Stone.cold.totally.crazy@gmail.com, was something of an under the radar effort. In fact, I cannot verify if Griffith's running-mate-- Hunter Titus Rhoades-- actually existed. The campaign address traced to the Ballard neighborhood in Seattle, just a few blocks from a place where I lived 1979-1980. When I lived there (on NW Market St.) it was still a heavily Scandinavian working class area but has probably been a bit gentrified since then.
The ticket was registered only in Washington, where the Office of the Secretary of State does not report the individual tally of votes for write-ins.
