The campaign:

James Jobe of Norfolk, Va. and a student at Old Dominion University, filed as a write-in for President with the FEC on Aug. 28, 2016. At the same time Jobe was running as a write-in for the Virginia Beach, Va. City Council. His running-mate was Reillie Murphy, a high school student in Georgia.

Jobe/Murphy were registered as write-ins only in the State of Washington where they ran under the banner of the Justice for Harambe Party. Harambe was a gorilla in a Cincinnati zoo who was shot and killed in May 2016 when a 3 year-old boy fell into his enclosure and a zookeeper felt the child was in danger. Harambe posthumously became a widespread Internet meme including an inevitable "Harambe for President" campaign.

Jobe's political stance could probably be best described as Left/Libertarian. A perennial candidate for a variety of offices since 2016 Jobe has usually identified as an Independent but has at different times embraced the Libertarian and Green parties. Murphy also seems to lean Left.

Both candidates were considerably under the Constitutionally mandated age of 35 in order to serve in the offices they sought.

In March 2020 Jobe officially declared herself transgender and became Charlotte Rose Jobe.

The time has come for a different kind of candidate who is one of the people with the VISION for a better STATE. I aim to be a fresh and exciting VOICE for CHANGE , so I am pleased to announce publicly that I will be running as a candidate for President in 2016 on the brand new party ticket which will be known as the POP IT( People Of Purple Interdependently Thinking ) REFORM PARTY. I ask each of you for your SUPPORT and VOTE so that together , we can accomplish something that has never been done before called the  " WE WIN " .

The symbol for the party is a white LION and the party color is PURPLE .This party will be the party, not of a Democratic , Republican, Green or Libertarian win, or even a Wysinger win but it shall be the party where " WE " the people of the United States Of America in order to form a more perfect union, " WIN ". COME , join with POP IT REFORM, BE A LION  & ROAR ! A Lion's roar will make those pack animals, ( Democratic Donkeys & Republican Elephants) move down center field with quickness  working with the knowing that , " WE " are the CHANGE "WE " can believe in and knew would come TRUE.

Real change comes only when we ourselves  truly comprehend and understand, as well as act, on the fact ,that ,"the TRUE POWER has always been with " WE" THE PEOPLE".One of the many reasons I am running is to remind us  of the POWER "WE" hold. It is my heartfelt endeavor to  INSPIRE us to place our feet  upon the " WE WIN " pathway of self involvement in the governing of our every day lives.WE in this age must need value  what the founding father's of this great nation fully understood; which is-
 " WE hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. ——

 No man can grant us our LIBERTY for Liberty is a choice we each make as well as upon which WE all need learn how to stand fast within. We must learn to hold fast to the LIBERTY wherein our CREATOR has made us free. We are free to do what is good, just , right and true as we walk humbly before our Almighty Creator . Let us not be weighed in the balance of life and found lacking .WE as Americans, as men and women , boys and girls MUST understand that is is ultimately the " WE " who are responsible and held accountable for the deeds allowed to be done in the name of "WE " Americans !

 " WE" must  AWAKEN ! then ARISE ! , take up our beds of affliction ( for there are indeed many things which are of ill effect in our nation ) REFORM through RIGHT dealings, and afford ourselves a window of opportunity to reshape by the renewing        ( changing to a different way of thinking ) of our minds , each , our own individual destiny."WE " in this moment of decision 2016 must place ourselves into an ALTERED STATE of DESTINY for the destiny I see fast approaching is GRIM; the forecast, is a dry and barren wasteland of despair as never before seen.Yet, over the horizon , I see clouds gathering carrying an abundance  of rain, PURPLE  RAIN !

 This rain will nourish the flower of HOPE in the hearts of the "WE" and cause us to know ," WE "HAVE ALREADY OVERCOME . "

          
 In the infamous words of President George W. Bush , " MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT ! " , I must say that "WE" are in dire need of tilling the good ground of our American hearts and planting new and good seeds in the fields of our American destiny . I know you see as well as me,that what was once rich soil has become parched by heat of despair ."WE" must  NOW ! decide to cultivate by  the choice of the "WE", that  which has been left thirsty, then build dams with bridges over troubled waters so the reservoirs can be refilled and overflow right into the American soul fields of the "WE". Assuredly, produced from such happenings will be a crop which will sustain the "WE" and our posterity until the ruler of time eternal begins all things anew for all "WE" who accepted the dare to  rolled up our sleeves and got on with the business of healing our land.

MY friends and fellow Americans ," WE " ARE THE CHANGE         " WE " CAN BELIEVE IN ."  I believe in you and I believe in me; thus, I believe that together " WE " can overcome any obstacle, discover all solutions, make peace not war and accomplish any goal, for in my heart , " All things are possible to them who believe. In fact , I am just crazy enough to  believe that a little girl born in a small city known as " TWICE AS NICE ( Texarkana ) " , in a STATE known as the NATURAL  STATE  and LAND OF OPPORTUNITY    ( ARKANSAS) .... a girl who ,while living a life of hard knocks and constant struggle and living most of her life with very little materially yet divinely placed and planted to bloom  in a 4 STATES area         ( ARKANSAS, OKLAHOMA, LOUISIANA, & TEXAS ) which had oil flowing everywhere, abundance and trees and sunshine (seeing the big picture ) that , this girl whom while learning how to walk everywhere and travel STATE LINES ( in an area not so friendly to her kind of folk ).... that girl who often  spent her childhood summers where her daddy was born, in a Clay Hill community in a town called Columbus near a church named Macedonia that was nearby  a place called HOPE and to get there she had to go through the CROSS ROADS and make the RIGHT TURN to get there ..... that little girl , little did she know , was being molded by life for such a time as this ... and that as she was  being reared in the LONE STAR STATE  ( TEXAS ) which means FRIENDLY and  known for doing everything BIG.... everyday and every year, come what may, she became naturally more friendly to all, even those who did not like her ....  I AM CRAZY ENOUGH TO BELIEVE that, this little girl grew to be and NOW is, a caring ,just,wise, strong, determined, and very courageous  woman , the woman, who is surely, a special kind of CANDIDATE who  will be The LONE STAR in the 2016 PRESIDENTIAL RACE.

I am crazy enough to believe and anticipate that you will be crazy with me to BELIEVE that ..... This woman is friendly enough to cross STATE LINES in all areas our our great nation , including those that are not necessarily accustomed to  liking her kind. This  Candidate, Demetra  Jefferson Wysinger,  can walk through barren places and naturally see opportunities. and inspire people to believe that hard knocks wont keep us down if we look for the sunny side of life , change " stinking thinking, " then just reach and grab the silver lining.

This candidate knows that "WE" all ,really, like her, are from a special place that is " TWICE  AS NICE " called, America where we can DO THINGS BIG ! ( like in Texas ) if  "WE " want to.This truly is the land of the FREE and the home of the BRAVE !   I know because this woman who was that girl , stands before you as living proof !!! that "WE CAN  IF WE THINK THEN BELIEVE TO KNOW WE CAN !


That girl has known and endured press beyond measure, HEARTFELT TEARS, and has learned to fight the good fight of FAITH,  has entered the race to become our next PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA  ! I want each of you to personally  know and  that , AMERICA WINS WITH WYSINGER & " WE WIN WITH WYSINGER ! " in 2016. It's raining PURPLE HALLELUJAH ! Her running-mate was her younger brother, Cedric Jefferson, also a resident of Texas which would have proved problematic in the event of their victory as they were residents of the same state.

This might possibly be the first sister-brother ticket. The first brother-sister ticket I can think of was Eugene Arthur Hem/Joanne C. Roland (Third Party) in 1992.

The Wysinger/Jefferson ticket were registered as write-ins in at least 9 states.

The campaign (2020):

Wysinger, now in Rowlett, Tex., filed with the FEC on Sept. 14, 2019 as a Libertarian. The following Dec. 22, Cedric Jefferson of The Colony, Tex. filed with the FEC also as a Libertarian under the campaign committee name of Cedric Jefferson LIB POP WXYZ Presidential Group.

Oddly enough, Dakinya Jefferson, with Wysinger as the VP, registered with the FEC for President as a Libertarian also on Dec. 22, 2019. And just to add to the confusion, Demondria Jefferson filed as a Libertarian, with Dakinya as the VP, on Dec. 29, 2019. All four of the above mentioned candidates had campaign committees that used the same PO Box address in Rowlett, Tex.

Cedric had also decided to run for the US Senate in Texas under the People Over Politics Party, but apparently withdrew from that race. Meanwhile, Demetra's bid for the Libertarian Party's Presidential nomination did not have a victorious conclusion. Both of them subsequently joined forces and decided to forge ahead under the WXYZ New Day Party flag. Wysinger announced on Facebook on Aug. 21, 2016, "Proud to state that Cedric D. Jefferson is my Vice Presidential Running mate. Vote Wysinger -Jefferson and Let The Sun Shine In for new found healing for our nation."

The ticket registered as write-ins in Alaska and Minnesota but no votes were reported.

The campaign:

Anthony "Tony" J. Valdivia and his running-mate Aaron R. Barriere were fellow financial analysts for USAA in San Antonio, Tex. Most of the web presence of their 2016 national campaign has been deleted, but in later elections Valdivia seemed to be a Libertarian with some Christian and pro-life tendencies.

The Valdivia/Barriere ticket were registered write-ins in at least a dozen states, with the bulk of their reported votes coming from Texas. Both candidates being residents of the same state might have proved problematic according to the Constitution in the event of their victory.

Since 2016, Valdivia has run unsuccessfully run twice for the San Antonio City Council (2017, 2019), and as Libertarian for the Texas State Senate (2018), and State House of Representatives (2020).

The campaign:

Shawna Sterling of Brooksville, Ky. filed with the FEC as a Republican on June 6, 2015. On June 16 the name of the campaign committee was changed from "Shawna Sterling 2016" to "Shawna Sterling 2016 Pro Life Pro America It's Time to Take Care of America." On June 23 the candidate had a name change, "Pastor Shawna Sterling," and a political designation alteration from Republican to Independent, and a committee name change to "Pastor Shawna Sterling 2016 Pro Life Pro America It's Time to Take Care of America." Things settled down for a few months then on Jan. 1, 2016 the political allegiance changed to Libertarian and the committee was simply "Pro Life Pro America." The FEC didn't like the committee name so it was changed to "Pro America Sterling 4 President" on Feb. 9. Finally, on July 6, 2016 Sterling switched back to Independent and listed Jack Robinson of Spartanburg, S.C. as a running-mate. Whew!

Meanwhile, Jack B. Robinson had filed with the FEC for President as an Independent on Aug. 28, 2015. On Nov. 12, 2015 he switched his party identification to Libertarian.

Sterling was no stranger to running for office. In 2014 she was defeated by Mitch McConnell in the Republican primary for the US Senate. Her campaign website at that time promoted the concept of secret numerological messages she had decoded from a few movie trailers that predicted dire events such as 9/11 or Sandy Hook. She also included a video by discredited conspiracy-for-profit merchant Alex Jones. Interestingly, in 2012 she had briefly switched to the Democratic Party and worked for Obama's re-election.

When Sterling was running for the Libertarian nomination her platform had a few deviations from the standard Party line--

I am pro-life. All Persons at any stage in their life, have the right to life.
I support the legalization of same sex marriage. Persons cannot be forced to perform a marriage.
Federal government should not fund Planned Parenthood, only programs required by the U.S. Constitution.
A business should not be forced to provide services. The federal government should not be able to deny services.
A health provider should not be forced to offer free birth control.
The federal government should not force a separation of church and state upon the States or the People.
I do not support the death penalty.
The Federal government should not force businesses or religious groups to associate with any Person.
The Federal government should not discriminate against any Person as it represents all Persons.
Terminally ill patients should be allowed to refuse artificial life support.
Businesses should not be forced to have women or men on their board of directors.
The U.S. military should allow women to serve in combat roles as the U.S. military represents all People.
The Federal government should not force the States or People loyal to the U.S. Constitution to remove flags.

The federal government should not increase environmental regulations to prevent global warming.
States and People living in the State should determine who cares for national parks located in their respective State.
Producers should not be required to label genetically engineered foods.
I do not support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas, as it contaminates our drinking water.
The U.S. should not expand offshore oil drilling.
The Federal government should not give tax credits and subsidies to the wind power industry.

The Federal government should not force employers to pay men and women the same for the same job.
If people individually choose to support welfare, Persons receiving welfare should not be forced to work.
If People individually choose to support welfare, Persons applying for welfare should not be forced to take drug tests.
The Federal government should not force non-government employers to pay employees a specific minimum wage.
The Federal government should not force businesses to provide paid leave.
The Federal government should make cuts to public spending and eliminate programs not required by the Constitution.
Only taxes required by the U.S. Constitution should be collected from both Corporations and U.S. Citizens.
Wall Street executives should be criminally charged for their roles in the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis.
I believe that labor unions help the economy.
Only taxes required by the U.S. Constitution should be collected from capital gains of U.S. Citizens.
The Federal Reserve Bank should be abolished and the U.S. should return to the gold standard.
The Federal government should not subsidize farmers, as it is not required by the U.S. Constitution.
The Federal government should not infringe upon the rights of the People to grow and sell in the free market.
I do not favor an increased sales tax in order to reduce property taxes.
Government workers should have the choice to privately manage their pension plan accounts.
I do not support the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
The government should not classify Bitcoin as a legal currency as it provides too high of risk for criminal activity.
U.S. Citizens should be allowed to save or invest their money in offshore bank accounts, as long as income is reported.

The Federal government should not infringe on the rights of U.S. Citizens to acquire and bear arms.
U.S Citizens who end up on a “no-fly list” should not have their gun rights infringed upon without due process of law.
Term limits should not be set for members of Congress, those who violate laws should be removed from office.
The FBI should not require Apple to give them software keys that could violate the privacy rights of U.S. Citizens.
Local police should not engage in unconstitutional surveillance and patrol of U.S. Citizens who are Muslim.
Victims of gun violence should be allowed to sue firearm dealers, even if the Court ultimately dismisses their case.
The Senate should not vote on Obama’s Supreme Court nominee as Obama should be impeached for treason.
I favor decriminalization of drug use and providing amnesty with substance abuse counseling for non-violent offenders.
Corporation and unions (Super PACs) should be allowed to donate to political candidates.
NSA should not collect U.S. Citizens private information without a warrant showing probable cause of criminal activity.
Non-government Internet Service Providers should be allowed to speed up access to popular websites if they want to.
I do not support affirmative action programs as this could limit the hiring of the most qualified candidate for the job.
The Federal government should not raise the retirement age for Social Security.
I do not support the Patriot Act as it is unpatriotic to engage in unconstitutional surveillance of U.S. Citizens.
The Federal or State government should not be allowed to seize private property.
The redrawing of Congressional districts should be controlled by an independent, non-partisan commission.

I do not support the ACA as it proved to not be affordable and as it is not required by the U.S. Constitution.
I support an open market where health care insurers can compete across state lines.
The Federal government should not force vaccinations on U.S. Citizens.         
The Federal government has no right to regulate Marijuana as this right belongs to the State and its People.
The Federal government should not fund health care as it is not required by the U.S. Constitution.
States should decide their own level of health care coverage.

A photo ID should be required to vote to help prevent voter fraud and to ensure that votes cast are by U.S. Citizens only.

Prisons should ban the use of solitary confinement for juveniles.

The U.S. should accept refugees from Syria who have no ties to terrorists and who will take our Oath of Nationality.
Foreign terrorism suspects should be tried in military tribunals but not subject to torture.
The Federal government should decrease military spending that is not required by the U.S. Constitution.
The military should not use enhanced interrogation techniques. I am against torture.
U.S. Citizens who are 18 years old should not be required to provide military service. I am against the draft in all forms.
The U.S. should not declare war on ISIS as our special forces already have AUMF authority to pursue and strike ISIS.
The U.S. should not give foreign nations including Israel foreign aid, as it is not required by the U.S. Constitution.
The U.S. should not send troops into Syria to fight ISIS, unless they are special forces operating under our current AUMF.
The U.S. should not remain in the United Nations and we should remove the U.N. headquarters from the U.S.

U.S. Special Forces have authority pursuant to our current AUMF to pursue and strike U.S. enemies.
The U.S. should not give foreign aid to any country, as it is not required by our U.S. Constitution.
The U.S. should close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as it is a waste of money and resources.
The U.S. trade and travel embargo on Cuba should be lifted to increase democratic relations between the U.S. and Cuba.
U.S. should not conduct military strikes against North Korea unless intelligence confirms a need for defensive strikes.
The U.S. should not prevent Russia from conducting airstrikes in Syria.

I do not support increasing taxes for the rich in order to reduce interest rates for student loans.
I do not support Common Core as education should be handled at the state and local level instead of the national level.

Federal government should not provide health care to illegal immigrants as it is not required by the U.S. Constitution.
State government and the People have the right to determine if they will provide health care to illegal immigrants.
Immigrants should be allowed to enter the U.S. if they want to be U.S. Citizens and if they take our Oath of Nationality.
The U.S. should not increase restrictions on its current border security, but should enforce the current border policy.
States and the People determine whether illegal immigrants should be offered in-state tuition rates at public colleges.
Immigrants should be required to learn English.
Children of illegal immigrants should be granted legal citizenship if they were born in the U.S.
Law enforcement should be allowed to detain illegal immigrants and transfer them to federal immigration authorities.
Working illegal immigrants with no criminal record, should be given temporary amnesty, as well as a path to citizenship.
The U.S. should increase the amount of temporary work visas given to high-skilled immigrant workers.


The Federal government should fund space travel that increases our national security as is required by the Constitution.

Ronald Reagan. He did his part to make America smaller.

Oddly, the California primary was held after the Libertarian Party convention, so Robinson's 8th out of 12 finish with 0.03% was merely a popularity contest.

Both Sterling and Robinson failed to gain much traction in their quest for the Libertarian nomination. At some point they joined forces and continued the campaign to the general election on their own ticket. Sterling had been one of the speakers with Robinson at a Birth Loop conference in May 2016.

Sterling/Robinson were registered as write-ins in 5 states (listing themselves as Libertarians in most of them) and received a single reported vote in Kansas.

Robinson ran for President again as an Independent in 2020.

The campaign:

Hailing from the hardcore Puritan wing of the Libertarian Party, Alabama-raised Darryl Perry relocated to Keene, N.H. possibly due to the lure of the Free State Project, a long-term plan to populate the small jurisdiction with enough libertarian-minded voters to create a significant impact in municipal and state government.

In addition to being active with the Libertarian Party, Perry had also been involved with the ill-fated Boston Tea Party and was a co-founder in 2012 of the New Hampshire Liberty Party, described by some sources as a secessionist group.

In 2016 Perry was one of the contenders for the Libertarian Party nomination for President. Expressing disappointment with the eventual winners, he announced on Sept. 16, 2016 that he was running on his own--

Darryl W. Perry Announces Limited Presidential Write-In Campaign

Keene, NH – Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate, Darryl W. Perry, announced today his intention to launch a limited write-in campaign for the 2016 US Presidential Race.

When radio personality, libertarian activist, and CEO of Liberty Lobby LLC, Darryl W. Perry, embarked on his Presidential Campaign, he did so with three goals in mind: 1) to run the most libertarian presidential campaign in history; 2) to proclaim the ideas of liberty as boldly and as often as possible; and 3) to give as many people as possible the opportunity to vote for an actual libertarian in November.

After the 2016 Libertarian Party National Convention in Orlando, Florida, Perry issued a statement saying he had “accomplished two-thirds of the goals I set for my campaign. I ran the most consistent libertarian campaign to date, and I took every opportunity, including my well-received Concession Speech, to promote the ideas of liberty.”

Perry, who was officially endorsed by the NH Liberty Party at their convention in February, added, “While my original intention was to either continue my campaign through the November election or support an LP ticket with actual philosophical libertarians, the Libertarian National Convention left me emotionally drained. I will not be continuing my campaign through November.”

Since then, numerous people have asked for a way to give people the ability to vote for a philosophical libertarian for President. Due to the numerous instances of the Libertarian Party Presidential ticket running in opposition to the LP Platform, including supporting limitations of the 2nd Amendment rights of people on secret lists, new forms of taxation, and statements against freedom of association, Perry decided to file declarations of intent to be a write-in candidate in a handful of states where a slate of electors is not required. The laws in another eight states claim all write-in votes are valid. Meaning that on November 8, 2016, voters in 17 states (AL, AK, DE, IA, ID, KS, MT, NE, NH, NJ, OR, PA, RI, VT, WA, WV, WY) plus DC, will have the ability to cast a vote – albeit a write-in – for an actual libertarian, Darryl W. Perry. This means Perry potentially has access to 114 Electoral College votes.

Between now and election day, Darryl’s focus will remain at the state and local level where more opportunities exist to affect positive change. In addition, the Darryl W. Perry Presidential Campaign does not intend to raise any funds or have any expenditures towards this limited write-in campaign. Perry says, “I do not make this decision lightly, however I have the ability to not let another election cycle go by without a philosophical libertarian candidate in the general election. Finally, I encourage everyone, including members of the Libertarian Party, to follow their conscience when they cast their ballot in the Presidential election.”

Perry's platform was classic Libertarian except perhaps that instead of limiting the federal government he called for it to be "abolished." His platform introductory summary as presented on his campaign website--

I believe…
…that all coercive forms of taxation should be eliminated, and government programs should be funded voluntarily.
…that people should be allowed to travel freely without government interference; this includes the right of individuals to choose where they decide to live.
…in the right of self-determination; that is the right of “determination by the people of a territorial unit of their own future political status.”
…that every person and/or group of people should be allowed to decide for themselves if and/or how they will be governed.
…that men do not need leaders, we are all capable of leading ourselves. Governments only get in the way of allowing this to happen.
…that the United States government, as it exists today, should be abolished!

On the last point the actual platform elaborated--

 Governments should be transparent and free of corruption. I believe the Downsize DC Agenda is one methods for bringing about this reform.
 Further, all individuals have the god-given right to life, liberty & pursuit of happiness, whenever governments become destructive of these rights, the people have the right to alter or abolish it. The federal government has been destroying rights since 1791, therefore I believe that the federal government should be abolished!

...  I fully support the right of self-determination; that is the right of “determination by the people of a territorial unit of their own future political status.” Though there are no established guidelines regarding how a group of people exercise their right of self-determination. During the 1860’s several States attempted to leave the United States of America, several counties in these States took secession one step further and seceded from their seceding State. It was this act of self-determination that allowed West Virginia to become a State, it also led to several “Free State’s” throughout the Confederacy.

 The United States of America was founded on the principles of self-determination. Not only has the U.S. government violated the self-determination rights of the Native Americans, but also the people of Hawai’i, Guam, Puerto Rico and many other people who have become dependent on the U.S. government. I believe that every person and/or group of people should be allowed to decide for themselves if and/or how they will be governed.

In the course of the campaign Perry was elected to the position of chair of the New Hampshire Libertarian Party, which put the New Hampshire Liberty Party on the back burner-- not exactly inactive and waiting to be fully revived depending on the political winds.

Perry's running-mate and fellow activist Conan Salada, also seems to have moved to Keene from the South as part of the Free State Project, which conjures an image of carpetbaggers in reverse. Salada wasted no time in running for public office, oddly under the banner of the Democratic Party for the Legislature. He addressed the party affiliation on July 29, 2016--

I’m pleased to announce that I am running for NH State Rep, Cheshire county district 7, Keene ward 4. Some of you may be wondering why I am running as a Democrat as opposed to a party more aligned with my ideology. This is because of the difficulty getting 3rd party candidates on the ballot. No, I’m not trying to hijack the Democratic Party. Perhaps one year I’ll find the extra time to collect 150 signatures and run on a liberty party ticket, or maybe, if elected, I’ll have the much needed opportunity to tweak NH’s ballot access laws which currently favors the monopoly held by the D’s and the R’s.

Perry/Salada were registered write-ins in at least 8 states but not all of these report their write-in vote tallies in detail. In the event of their victory there would have existed a potential problem regarding the Constitution since both candidates were residents of the same state.

On a Feb. 8, 2018 Facebook post, the New Hampshire Liberty Party stated--

We're still in hibernation - watching the LP of NH's potential board changes at this upcoming convention of theirs.  If things make a turn for the worse there, look for us to come back.  Meanwhile, the LP of NH has been doing great, so hopefully that will continue.

The campaign:

Frank Atwood and Blake Huber, two activists with strong ties to the Libertarian Party, formed the first Approval Voting Party ticket in the 2016 election. Atwood boiled down the single-issue party into a couple slogans: "Check all the candidates yea or nay, the most yeas wins at the end of the day" and "Approval voting is simply saying, mark off all that you approve of."

The Atwood/Huber ticket made the ballot in their home state of Colorado. Being residents of the same state could have posed a potential Constitutional problem in the event of their victory.

The campaign:

2016 provided an important opportunity for the Libertarian Party and continued their long-standing intraparty debate of practical compromise vs. philosophical purity. Both of the major parties were fielding candidates who were more polarizing than usual and many Americans were looking for an alternative. After two ballots at their convention the Libertarians once again selected Gary Johnson as their nominee. His running-mate was former Governor of Massachusetts William Weld. The LP ticket, with two ex-state executives on the ballot with high name recognition, actually had far more government insider experience to offer than the Republican team of Trump and Pence.

Johnson spent a considerable portion of his acceptance speech imploring the convention to select Weld as the VP nominee--

Now that said, we're going to move on to the vice president. And I understand that you get to choose the vice president, but I just want you to know if it's not Bill Weld, I don't think we have the opportunity of being elected president of the United States and that is not to take anything away from any of the candidates up here on the stage.

Jim Gray in 2012 did not make one national media appearance and don't think we didn't try to have Jim Gray be on the national media. Since Bill Weld announced that he is seeking the vice presidential nomination I would say at a minimum he has made 25 national media appearances.

And not to take anything away from any of the candidates, nothing away from any of the candidates, but Bill Weld was my role model. Bill Weld was Libertarian-Republican. Bill Weld was denied the nomination by Jesse Helms to be ambassador to Mexico because Jesse described him as pro-gay, pro-choice and pro-medical marijuana at a time when nobody else was talking about this.

It's your choice. We can go out there and we can make, and you have kind of sort of made a choice here already. And that is that we do have the opportunity to reach millions and millions of Americans.

Talk about fund-raising. The total amount of fund-raising, the total amount of funds since I've been in politics, directly or indirectly that I have raised is probably about $8 million. If you make that comparison with Bill Weld, the number is closer to a quarter of a billion dollars. It's a reality.  It is a reality and I'm asking you all to recognize that reality. And I'm also asking you to recognize that you did nominate me for president, and I'm hopefully going to get elected president of the United States.

The first consideration that people are going to look at when they look at a vice president, the first consideration, maybe the only consideration is, can that person actually step in and be vice president of the United States. I'm just going to ask you to make that determination with those that are on stage. I trust in all of you that moving forward that you can see, I hope you can see, the wisdom of this Libertarian Party exploding. And at a minimum, let's just not say, at a minimum I think we are in the presidential debates.

If it's not Bill Weld I don't think that that happens. If it is Bill Weld, and not to take anything away from anybody else that is on the stage. But if it is Bill Weld there's a real possibility that we can achieve major party status in this country. And who would have dreamed that that was possible four years ago?


Weld barely won the running-mate slot on the second ballot over Larry Sharpe, 441-409 votes.

The VP nominee found himself defending some of his past non-Libertarian stances such as support of Republican neocon military actions as well as his role in gun control as Governor of Massachusetts. "I was deeply concerned about gun violence, and frankly, the people I represented were demanding action. Sometimes, governing involves tough choices, and I had to make more than a few. Today, almost 25 years later, I would make some different choices ... Those who know me best and for the longest all know that I have always been a libertarian. I have said it many times, and it is true. Since law school, my bibles have always been The Constitution of Liberty, and The Road to Serfdom, by Friedrich Hayek."

But as the campaign neared Election Day, Weld came across as somewhat ambivalent about his role as a potential spoiler. Some of his statements indicated he preferred Clinton over Trump--

-The way Washington is trending, the wacko left and wacko right are heaving more closely into view ... I think the Republican Party’s going to split, this cycle or the next cycle ... One party will be Donald Trump’s party, which you could call the Know-Nothing Party ... based on hatred of immigrants and conspiracy theories and violent rallies.

-I have a platform ... As long as I’m a candidate for a legitimate political party, people pay attention to what I say, and I have a lot to say about Mr. Trump ... We are drawing 50-50 [from the two major parties], but that’s before people hear everything I have to say about Mr. Trump for the next seven weeks.

-This is not the time to cast a jocular or feel-good vote for a man whom you may have briefly found entertaining.

-Most families would not allow their children to remain at the dinner table if they behaved as Mr. Trump does. He has not exhibited the self-control, the discipline or the emotional depth necessary to function credibly as a president of the United States.

-This is the worst of American politics. I fear for our cohesion as a nation and for our place in the world if this man, who says he is unwilling to abide by the result of our national election, becomes our president.

-I'm one of those who thinks there's a hidden Trump vote of 3 percent — maybe more — of people who don't want to tell pollsters that they're voting for Donald Trump, so I'm not at all relaxed about the outcome of this election.

-You want someone who is calm. When you are governor or chief executive of a government, you make a hundred decisions a day and you get judged at the end of the year by how you did. If you have to stop and think ‘how can I take a swipe at someone in this situation,’ that is the last thing you want in a president of the United States ... In psychology, it’s called a malignant narcissist: someone who’s not happy succeeding unless everyone else fails at the same time ... Unfortunately, you could say that that happened a little bit with Mr. Trump’s success with his casinos in Atlantic City, because hundreds if not thousands of small businesses went down the tubes when Mr. Trump was rising there.

-I’m sick and tired of seeing her [Clinton] dragged through the mud by a man [Trump] who makes absolutely no demands on himself as to moral behavior, including common decency or truthfulness.

-I've known her for 40 years. I've worked with her. I know her well, professionally ... I know her well personally. I know her to be a person of high moral character, a reliable person and an honest person, however so much Mr. Trump may rant and rave to the contrary. So, I'm happy to say that, and people can make their own choices ... I'm not taking back anything I said about the massive difference between the two establishment party candidates. One would be chaos for the country I think and the other would be a very business-like and capable and competent approach to our affairs.


In Sept. 2016 there were rumors, according to journalist Carl Bernstein, that Weld would drop out of the race and endorse Clinton.

Johnson's ignorance of international affairs and some of his more eccentric public performances such as sticking out his tongue during a TV interview didn't exactly help the LP's credibility with outside independent voters, while valid doubts about Weld's commitment to the Party made activists wary they had yet another carpetbagger in their midst. But even so, 2016 turned out to be the highest total of the LP vote in any Presidential election, and the highest among third parties since Ross Perot in 1996.

In a remarkable finish, the Johnson/Weld ticket placed third and cracked 1% in every state. Their best results: New Mexico 9.34%, North Dakota 6.22%, Alaska 5.88%, Oklahoma 5.75%, Montana 5.64%, South Dakota 5.63%, Colorado 5.18%, Wyoming 5.13%, and Maine 5.09%.

During the campaign Weld gave hints he might return to the Republican Party in order to run for President in the 2020 primaries, which is exactly what he did. The Trump forces, apparently threatened by some degree of Weld's potential percentages, successfully managed to make sure he was not a ballot option for Republican voters in the primary season in many states, seeming to confirm Weld's charge that the Republicans had morphed into an authoritarian personality cult bent on undermining the democratic process.

The campaign:

The American Third Position Party (or A3P) was created in 2009 as a political venue for white nationalism. Historically the "third position" in 20th century Europe meant a rejection of Marxism and of mainstream traditional democracy capitalism while finding a third alternative, i.e. fascism.

The founders of the group included those with close ties to skinheads, Nazis, the KKK, Holocaust deniers, anti-Semites, League of American Patriots, and other white supremacist groups. In January 2012 the A3P nominated Merlin Miller for US President, described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as "an independent filmmaker and military veteran who has expressed dislike for interracial marriage and claimed that Hollywood is under 'Jewish-Zionist control.' He has written for the Holocaust-denying Barnes Review and the white nationalist Occidental Observer."

In Feb. 2013 the A3P changed their name to the American Freedom Party, not to be confused with Larry Brant Sargeant's Party of the same name in the 1976 election. Miller had meanwhile started his own political group, the American Eagle Party, forcing the AFP to regroup. In Mar. 2015 the AFP nominated Kenn Gividen (b. 1953) of Indiana for President and Bob Whitaker of South Carolina as his VP. They filed with the FEC the same month. Gividen had previously been active with the Libertarian Party as a state candidate and expressed white nationalist ("Of course I'm pro-White. And you should also be as well.") and revisionist history views on his website.

The nominee's website included a long list called "Kenn's Laws." Some of the more polemic samples--

Gividen resigned as the nominee in July 2015. Whitaker was then elevated to the top spot and filed with the FEC for President under the AFP in Aug., 2015.

When he had originally been selected as the VP, Whitaker wrote--

I will campaign on White Genocide.

Kenn, our presidential nominee, knows that and agrees with it. Let’s take a moment to APPRECIATE that. Any other right splinter party like the American Party and certainly the Libertarians would scream bloody murder and get rid of me instantly ...

I now favor the vice presidential slot because the head of the ticket has to travel, which is a non-go for me, but also because Kenn’s function is entirely different from what I see as a vice presidential nominee’s: The lead man on the ticket has to make speeches and handle ALL issues. Further, I have new vision for a vice presidential nominee, or at least THIS one. The vice president is famous for having no Function. His only job, outside of keeping his heart beating in case the president fails in that function, is to preside over the Senate. But the Senate goes right on along when there is no Vice President.

The vice presidency has no FUNCTION. Instead of a FUNCTION, we will make the Vice Presidency a MESSAGE. Same ticket, two candidates – one who is willing to perform the FUNCTIONS of the Presidency, and the other a MESSAGE: END WHITE GENOCIDE.


The Southern Poverty Law Center, who called Whitaker "an aging segregationist with a history of drug abuse" pointed out that the VP nominee brought with him a cadre of loyal followers that should concern any organization charged with monitoring hate groups, and added--

Despite the bizarre reality that Gividen and Whitaker claim they will run separate campaigns, the ticket has already excited the racist right, in no small part because of Whitaker’s role in drafting The Mantra.

A 221-word attack on multiculturalism peppered with cries of "white genocide," The Mantra has grown wildly popular on the racist right, with sections appearing on banners hanging from Interstate overpasses and on billboards ...

A self-professed “genius,” Whitaker has a history in politics, though a dubious one. While he claims on his blog to have been the message man in the Reagan administration responsible for crushing communism, bringing down the Berlin Wall and saving the Hubble Space Telescope, Whitaker is closer to a hard-drinking grandfatherly Forest Gump. He once claimed to have an amphetamine habit that dropped his IQ to 100 ...

“There is not a modest bone in my body,” Whitaker wrote in 2004. “I AM a genius. I was born with one hell of a brain, and I scare our enemies because I am so smart I can laugh them to shame. I am at so high a level that a PhD or a big-time news anchor doesn’t mean a thing to me.” ...

According to Whitaker’s followers, he’s a former clandestine CIA agent and mercenary in Rhodesia who helped craft the propaganda message that ended the Soviet Union — claims for which there is no known historical record ...


The following months presented a barrage of mixed messages from the AFP about who was what in their electoral adventures.

In Oct. 2015 the AFP initiated a robocall campaign for Whitaker--

We robocall you at home because the media won’t carry our message.
Asia for the Asians, Africa for the Africans, but White countries for EVERYBODY!?
Flooding ALL & ONLY White countries with the third world overflow IS White Genocide.
Recently, Senator Jeff Sessions openly opposed flooding the U.S. with third world non-white refugees.
Bob Whitaker, the American Freedom Party’s candidate for president, LAUDS Senator Sessions for his stance, and adds that “DIVERSITY,” is chasing down the last White person.
If you support the present policy of flooding all White countries with third world non-whites, YOU are anti-WHITE.
Diversity equals White Genocide.

The American Freedom Party’s presidential candidate Bob Whitaker recently withdrew from the race and Tom Bowie has accepted the presidential nomination.

Thomas Bowie is just an average blue-collar guy who awoke to the fact that this so-called “Race Problem” was just an Anti-White Scam to promote White Genocide.

Tom was raised by his Grandparents and his Grandfather made a living as a sharecropper and eventually gained a small family farm of his own.

Tom Bowie attended vocational training while still in High School to become a florist and landscaper. However he ended up talking to a recruiter and joined the USMC at age 17 shortly after graduation.

After Military service Tom worked as a laborer in construction until he became a commercial waterman working for himself for many years.

He joined The Maryland Defense Force under the Maryland Military Department; where he used his position as an opportunity for volunteering within his community where he logged in 1,000s of hours of community activity over his years of service. He received many awards including the Maryland Commendation Metal and Meritorious Service Metal.

With the go ahead from his battalion commander 1SG Bowie formed a S.T.A.R. (State Tactical And Response) Team trained to respond rapidly and assist local and state authorities in any emergency. 1SG Bowie and S.T.A.R. Team responded to events ranging from Forest Fire, Tornado and Emergency Shelter Operations.

1SG Bowie also chartered an Explorer troop under the Boy Scouts of America Program with backing from his battalion commander, so that young Men and Women could gain skills for a possible military career while serving their community.

Later he took a job with the State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Health and Safety Specialist and Special Police Officer.

Since becoming aware of the ongoing program of White Genocide, Tom Bowie has dedicated himself to raising awareness and opening discussions on this topic to help ensure the survival of his race, the White race.

“Tom is just the kind of candidate anti-whites who yell about the working class want to keep out of elections, said Whitaker, who has organized marches of thousands of real working people in Washington, DC.

“And like me,” says Whitaker, “Tom condemns today’s doctrine of white self-hatred and sees so-called “Diversity” for what it is, white genocide.”


The weird part is that on the same day, on Whitaker's own campaign website, the exact same news release was posted except the leading sentence read, "The American Freedom Party’s presidential candidate Bob Whitaker recently welcomed Tom Bowie as his vice presidential running mate."

Tom Bowie is the latest white nationalist running as the VP candidate for AFP. Bowie fills the void left by Bob Whitaker, who made the move to presidential candidate after an illness sidelined Ken Gividen, AFP’s original choice.

Little is known about Bowie, who certainly has a much lower profile than that of Whitaker or Gividen. Bowie is, however, a prolific poster on Stormfront, the Internet’s first hate site, founded 20 years ago by Alabama Klansman Don Black. To date, Bowie has posted over 3,100 times on it. Bowie is also an Internet radio host and can be heard weekly on the Pro-White American Radio Show hosted on TalkShoe.com, an online radio community.

Bowie’s postings and radio comments demonstrate his support of AFP’s Mantra platform. Back in 2010, in a comment on the website of the white nationalist radio show Political Cesspool, Bowie wrote, “I’ve been using the Mantra for a while now with great success. I’m not sure just how many people I said it to over time but it gives our people the hope and knowledge that we can fix things.” Five years later, Bowie’s Twitter account reads similarly. On October 14 of this year he wrote,  “We're running out of places for #WhiteFlight because #Diversity is chasing down the last #White anywhere.”

In an interview in Dec. 2015, Whitaker addressed growing AFP support for Trump as the Republican candidate was attracting followers from the KKK, Nazis, white supremacists, and other factions of the far Right--

My feelings about Donald Trump, the party supports him, I mean, they don’t really—I don’t think the FP really supports me one way or the other.  But I am able as—we’ve had about 300,000, I think, robocalls.  We’ve gotten the message out that diversity is White Genocide.  That’s what I was addressed to do.  I think that Trump will do what every Republican always does.  He’ll talk big right now about the United States, protecting our borders and all that stuff.  Then, like all conservatives, he will get down on his knees and begin to weep about White Guilt and about how he loves everybody and the usual stuff you see Republicans grovel, like old southerners, you know, they’re all just so good at groveling.  And I think he’ll end up doing that.  If he doesn’t, that would—like I say these days, anybody who runs for a Republican nomination, I assume that he’s a groveler, and he gives the other side, the anti-Whites, anything they want.

William Daniel Johnson, Chairman of the AFP, financed robocalls in Jan. 2016 in Iowa in support of Trump and the AFP official website ran a graphic declaring "Donald Trump has our official endorsement." At this point you can understand why it is difficult to determine who the AFP was really backing.

A Feb. 2016 Youtube was posted interviewing Whitaker/Bowie as the AFP ticket.

In Apr. 2016, Whitaker refiled with the FEC changing his party affiliation to "none," indicating he was still in the race but not with the AFP.

Whitaker made an announcement on May 20, 2016 that he was continuing to run for President, but as an Independent and without Bowie--

The Whitaker for President Campaign is Now Independent

The Whitaker for President Campaign continues and it surges forward.

At the beginning of April, Bob Whitaker and his then VP Tom Bowie made the decision to leave the American Freedom Party (AFP) due to the fact that the party was going off message.

The AFP’s whole approach is to get media attention, any media attention, but it doesn’t matter the ineffectiveness of the media reports. They also decided to moderate the message, choosing to go with “Physical Administrative Removal of Peoples of European Extraction”, instead of our most effective and VIRAL meme to date, WHITE GENOCIDE.

But Bob and his team didn’t want to stop there, since we have achieved so much exposure to White Genocide with Bob running for President.

Bob is now running an independent campaign, with no party affiliation and no VP. Tom Bowie has decided to stay on with the AFP. He is now their presidential candidate.

With Bob still being a candidate, we get all the same candidate benefits as an independent. We still get the “Equal Access Broadcasting” rights.

So we plan to use those rights.

With donations to Bob’s campaign, we will be able to do more robocalls and reach hundreds of thousands of people with our message, while gaining considerable media attention at the same time.

With the equal access broadcasting rights, we also get radio ads for $10 per 30 seconds. These we can’t start until four months prior to the general election. Robocalls we can do now.

Bob’s campaign is far from over, and we plan to use it for as much as we can until November.

As Bob said recently “When the big news was the AFP having Jared Taylor speaking for them instead of me, MY big news was that ‘white genocide’ had just gone OFFICIALLY viral.” And, after watching the CNN show United Shades of America, which featured our billboard and people using our terms like pro-white and white genocide Bob said, “Lord, what can I say? We’re dictating the whole dialogue now.”

In May, 2016, Tom Bowie of Harrison, Ark. filed with the FEC for President under the American Freedom Party banner.

After that both the Whitaker and Bowie campaigns appeared to fizzle. Bowie's social media accounts of that era do not mention his candidacy. Neither one of them were registered as write-ins in any state that I can locate and no votes for them were reported on Election Day.

On Apr. 27, 2017, Whitaker launched his 2020 campaign, declaring--

“A REAL president would call for the immediate defunding of any college that allows anti-white campus thugs to shut down free speech,” states 2020 Stop White Genocide presidential candidate Bob Whitaker.
Bob stated that as real president he would take these measures and many others:
1. Insist on a free and open discussion of the crime of white genocide without threats of harassment, job loss or imprisonment for the discussants.
2. Fight to restore to their former positions persons like this young lady who was fired by the Attorney General of West Virginia for publicly opposing white genocide.
3. Prosecute churches, charities, etc. that violate their tax status by engaging in political action to carry out White Genocide.
When asked if he supports actions by President Trump that may at least slow White Genocide, Whitaker replied,
“We have a fake president because we haven’t woken up Whites to their genocide so that they demand a real president.”

Robert Whitaker died on June 3, 2017. If he and Bowie had been elected as a ticket, Bowie would have served as President for most of the term. Bowie himself apparently continued his political activity under the name of the Stop White Genocide Party, participating in events associated with anti-Gay, Christian identity, and Klan-allied groups.
